Grand American Tours was founded in 1986 by Nancy Magee. After 12 years of experience running a resort restaurant that served thousands of senior citizen tour groups, she had an understanding of what the groups wanted. In the beginning, Grand American offered bus tours to 5 destinations. Over time, our customers began asking for more which drove us to expand into cruises which opened up the world to many people who had never even been on a plane. They had only dreamed of going to Alaska or Hawaii. Around 2009, Grand American decided to focus exclusively on cruises and no longer offer motorcoach tours. The reason for this was that cruises have no minimum number of passengers. Bus tours required a minimum to make the bus affordable. Cruises can go with even 1 person - so no one is ever disappointed.
We are based in Morton, Pennsylvania, just south of the Philadelphia airport. Our staff prides themselves in providing exceptional service. It may sound simple, but we actually answer the phone and take our time with each customer. Everyone is important. It is a company philosophy that has led Grand American to have incredibly loyal customers who return year after year.
